Confession: never seen Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul except for BB’s pilot (for school). That said, when a couple of years ago I heard from a trusted source that Gilligan was about to make an X-Files kind of show, as a lifelong fan, I was elated.
Vince’s particular flavor of humor has brought us some hilarious gems like Bad Blood and occasional childhood ptsd, too (he was the one who wrote the cancer head ep that terrified me for weeks)
Then I watched the Pluribus trailer, and it was somewhat more Severance than The X-files?
And then I watched the Pluribus pilot, and… we’re actually back to the X-files again? *iykwim*
So now we have two of my favorite things, all rolled into one, and the ones missing are Dark, The Leftovers, and Succession (ok ok, we already got a teeny tiny bit of the latter in Ep 2)
I don’t know where all of this is going but quite entertaining so far. Who else is watching and what are your thoughts? 4 replies
