Just discovered NHK’s daily life and culture shows - this is the exact kind of wholesome content that is missing from the new wave of social apps like TikTok. The Japonology series and 72 Hours are simply brilliant Would love to see more non-US folks share educational lifestyle content here about all the places they are from Short-form video has its use cases and advantages but the longer, elaborate, and more mindful videos can find find their cozy corners. Yes, YouTube can scratch that itch, but the YT era is fading, and we all know about the monetization issues Give me global PBS for the digital era which rewards creators directly for all their hard work

Both @anco @nato-san post a lot of daily life in Japan stuff! @eiteengo posts a ton in /gurumenavijp @mrbriandesign posts lots of Japan as well! I’m sure they know even more but they all post in English a lot ;)

I don't understand English, but it's fun to talk to people from various countries using translation here! I'm especially happy to meet people who are interested in Japanese culture! I have two children, and I often watch NHK educational programs because they are still small children. It's interesting that there are programs that make not only children but also adults gain knowledge! What genre were you interested in?
