“The Alleyways of the Old Town” — a painting by my friend Dilorom Mamedova.
She painted it for me because this is my childhood street. I once lived here, walked this path to school, and played with my friends. I grew up in this place.
It lies in the very heart of Tashkent.
Now everything has been torn down, and new buildings will take its place.
