Why can’t Jack Dorsey see that Farcaster will surpass X while Nostr won't?

This isn't tribalism, just rational analysis. Farcaster targets billions of users whereas Nostr is tailored for rebellious libertarians at best.

I think the main concern here is how censorship resistant and decentralized FC really is.

Why today does fc target billions? Doesn't feel that way imo

I think a big part of it has to do with the fact that Jack is bullish on Bitcoin, which Nostr has fully embraced within their ecosystem. Also, the peer-to-peer architecture more or less ensures that no one can control the network more than anyone else. 

I'm still leaning about Farcaster and what ideas it brings to the table specifically, but I don't think this has to be a zero-sum game between different projects.

Farcaster is what X should be, but can’t. In the end the protocol approach > app approach.
