Still looking for gigs to help earn some money while I look for work. Want to ask a genuine question: What would motivate you to buy an art NFT? - Utility (pfps, crypto games, etc) - Collection NFTs - Artist reputation - Specific medium - Just looks pretty Want to gage everyone's sentiment on this. Used to do NFTs back in the boom of '21 though I never made much. I'm a naturally talented artist and good at a few mediums, mostly ink/paper and pixel art. Just want to get a good idea of what people are willing to buy.

Happy New Years! Getting this mini-app working is a lot more work than I though it would be. I hate constantly moving out the release date, but I've been busy with family over for the holidays + figuring out my employment as I look for new work. Where I'm at rn: - Trying to figure out mini-app authentication. Set it up so it prompts me to sign in from my phone but it's having difficulty grabbing the fid. Currently working on fixing this - Managed to get the function working that allows you to cast about your score after finishing a game, so that's working pretty good. - After fixing authentication, need to hook up wallet functionality so app prompts you to pay some USDC before playing. - There are some performance issues as I'm not able to use Godot threads due to some web security issues with Farcaster. Will probably just release with this, but want to see if I can't find a way to improve them. - Will eventually add more notifications and other Farcaster functionality, but getting the authentication + wallet working and publishing this thing comes first. Reasonably, if nothing goes horribly awry, I should have this done between now and next week. Really wanted to get this done in time for the holidays, but like I mentioned I have a lot on my plate. So I finally quit my job today. I don't care how well it paid, I just couldn't take it anymore. Also my performance at work has gotten so bad that I was at the brink of losing my job anyway. Thought I may as well bow out while I have the chance. I know I'm probably making a super stupid brash decision, but I can't keep doing the 9-5. It's worn me down. Problem now is that I'll be unemployed. Job market is garbage so I thought I'd take a crack at making money via crypto/miniapps. Ngl, I feel like I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, but with so much money in the space, there has to be a way to earn a decent living from it right? Have any of you miniapp builders had financial success on FC yet? What would you recommend?

I've officially deleted my Bluesky account. After seeing the disgusting advocacy of violence from it's users after the Charlie Kirk assassination, I absolutely refuse to associate with them or X. Only social I'll be using from here on out is FC. I'm done.

Coming back from hiatus after hearing about the Charlie Kirk assassination. My alma mater was UVU so this hits close to home. After seeing the vitriol, hate and advocacy for violence from both X and Bluesky, I am disgusted and appalled. I don't care much for politics, but I think most on FC would agree that this escalating violence will only lead our country to absolute ruin. This is also part of the reason why I don't use social media anymore. It's become a pox on our society and needs to be done away with. Just wipe the damn slate clean.
