😨 The Turkish parliament adopted a law on cryptocurrencies, providing for fines from $7,500 to $182,600 and prison terms of three to five years for violations. 🚨 Under the new law, crypto exchanges wishing to work legally in the country must obtain a license from the Capital Markets Council of Turkey. Unauthorized crypto platforms may face a prison sentence of three to five years. Cryptocurrency providers will also be responsible for the implementation and reporting of measures such as confiscation and other enforcement actions.
