turns out it's now my wife's turn to go to italy, she planned a last-minute trip to assissi with her mother while she's in town (catholics, amirite?) but when leaving this morning, her father made a even later-minute decision to go too so now it's just me and the spawn for the next few days, and i'm sitting here struggling to think of menu ideas that aren't pizza or pasta...
