one of the reasons we've kept the programmatic side of token drops via @quidli strictly retro (tokens being held, active group chat/channel members, reactions made on casts, etc.) so far is it's really stupid hard to do big announcement airdrops

i'm often reminded of @haydenzadams' advice on the topic: if you're going to do a big token airdrop, don't try to farm the farmers, just clearly set the rules and then be at peace with whatever happens because you only get one chance

but for smaller community tokens, which is what we see more often here on fc, i do think taking a retro approach with smaller sized drops via a tool like quidli.xyz buys you a lot more chances by simply keeping your Day 1s and diehards feeling appreciated and motivated to continue engaging, no matter what the latest value is
