>Japanese marathoner Shizo Kanakuri vanished during the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Marathon and then finished it 54 years later. Kanakuri got lost during the race and ended up on a rural farmhouse. The Swedish family there fed him and let him spend the night, but organizers thought he had just vanished.
