you shouldn't need to hand over your SSN, DOB and other personal info just to pay/be payable online, especially when it's a p2p use case crypto rails solve this for custody & settlement, but you still have no idea who you're settling with as addresses aren't human readable (sure, ENS exists but like all domains you have no idea who's behind them) @quidli addresses this with an open social registry that has reputation signals attached from across multiple socials that your non crypto contacts actually use (x, github, linkedin, email, etc.) + permissionless onchain payments composability is a must have as we transition to the agentic web - no interoperability means no coordination means no autonomy from the walled gardens & data moats of Web 2.0
