Recently, three major ecosystems events took place – Binance, Solana, and Coinbase. We identified 5 key topics that may shape the 2026 in crypto.
1. Stablecoins
Binance CEO Richard Teng called stablecoins a “killer application” for institutional and cross-border payments.
🟪 Solana is hosting several new stablecoins: jupUSD, USDGO, USD+.
🟦 Coinbase presented Custom Stablecoins, allowing clients to issue branded stables backed by flexible collateral, including USDC.
2. RWA / Tokenization
CZ debated gold advocate Peter Schiff, who claimed tokenized gold modernizes a proven store of value. CZ argued it still relies on centralized trust and unverifiable physical backing, unlike Bitcoin.
🟪 Keel launched a $500M initiative to issue RWAs on Solana; Bhutan launched TER, a sovereign-backed gold token; JPMorgan settled a short-term Solana bond.
🟦 Coinbase plans to launch Coinbase Tokenize, a platform for institutional RWA tokenization.
