Perverse incentive imo. Goal of games should be fun not money. If people are not playing because there's no rewards then the game is simply not fun for them. I still believe overall that resetting your village should become baked into the game itself. Rather than capping rewards, there should be in game mechanics for incentivizing strategic resets (eg new game plus or other modes). Make village resets fun!
