Anyway, when Americans talk about taste, it's almost always a scam. I'm sorry, but culturally for you, taste means buying a list of products, taking a photo of them and showing it off to everyone. That's why American women in Paris look like clowns, even when they've bought the right jacket and cross their legs on a café terrace. They forget that the Parisian woman is a free spirit with an attitude they'll never be able to live up to, because this attitude doesn't give a damn about calculation. You have to accept a kind of selflessness/nonchalance that is not compatible with American culture.
