it was! she also reminded me how she'd found them when she was younger & enjoyed smooshing the different colors. (i believe i stopped her before they were all pulped as there's still a mostly full tin!)

this is a lovely post. i too have been often thinking about "if the worst thing in the world is unstructured free time." (it isn't, ofc, unless the goal is maximum guilt & labor extraction for $$$ b/c clearly the 4-ish ppl who have it all need more of it...) also, exercise in masochism made me giggle. i swear some of us thrive in creative pain & finding new paths & that skill (mindset?) is lacking....

my daughter had some dance performances recently, which means we dove into my makeup collection. (which, tbh isn't that big & doesn't get used much these days.) so it was a treat getting out the guerlain météorites & dusting her face with their unique, luminous mix & beautiful, powdery violet scent. then i went online to find that they'd recently changed the iconic scent! nice lil' history here + notes on the scent for the curious. https://fashionista.com/2024/04/guerlain-meteorites-pearls-of-powder-history

ok, so i've moved on in my brain wave searching to several different shows. now i'm onto old episodes of project runway. the tldr is as an artist i'm trying to remember when you took crits from ppl who knew your thing. like, even if they insulted you there was a reason to wonder about their ideas... why is this a vip thought (yes, i can hear you asking). me too. soooo.... do you remember when the internet was a place to find people who (actually) knew MORE about a subject than YOU? as oppose to what often seems to happen now thanks to....... (fill it in)... etc? i am trying to imagine how one could or would rebuild knowledge clouds in a way to encourage knowledge paths that have ceased to function // exist... /end thought
