Miners in Russia consume more than the Irkutsk hydroelectric power station
This was stated by Konstantin Zaitsev, Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region, during a discussion at REN.
“In general, mining consumes 1,107 megawatts. Let me give you an example: the capacity of the Irkutsk hydroelectric power station is 760 megawatts. Can you imagine? This is almost one and a half times more. Now imagine how much investment mining must make,” Zaitsev said.
