every generation eventually gets tired of the glass rectangle.
girls are building cyberdecks. soldering their own boards, stuffing them into hand-decorated cases, wiring up keyboards and screens from scratch. the whole point is doing it yourself.
the reaction makes sense. the iPhone and MacBook are extraordinarily powerful and completely illegible. you cannot open them, modify them, or leave any mark on them. a billion people use these objects daily and have no idea what is inside.
