Supplements promise shortcuts, but overuse leads to imbalance and wasted money. Multivitamins can’t compensate for poor diets, and excess fat-soluble vitamins pose toxicity risks. Evidence supports targeted supplementation (B12, D, iron) when deficiencies exist. Nutrition should be food-first, supplement-second. Pills can’t replace plants.
