I am very bullish on the AR glasses form factor and the possibilities it unlocks, especially in combination with novel input devices like the wristband that detects small hand gestures.

I am, however, very bearish on Orion being a Meta innovation. Zuck's privacy track record is abysmal and his recent PR-crafted shapeshifting into an innocuous tech bro should not fool anyone.

Orion has incredible tech (for a v1.0) but also the potential to be first and foremost an ad-serving and data-harvesting panopticon device. You might optimistically argue "wait and see", but we've seen that movie before several times with Meta.

I wish this product had come instead from early-days Oculus or even Apple.
