On one hand, I'm glad there's an easy way to access updates on desktop. I bugged Dan back about having that in the early days, because it would cut down on the unnecessary clicking to get what was hopefully a clear answer around app/protocol updates. (Back then the information was scattered across channels, personal feeds and a Notion Q&A doc) On the other, my muscle memory for returning to my profile has been decimated since it sits where that long used to be. I'm a big proponent on modularity. Instead of bugging a dev for side panel navigation supremacy, I hope they just offer the ability for users to move navigation tabs around as they please. Same goes for ranking channels on the side. Just let the user choose.
