Congratulations on your little one 💕 Those first days are intense and exhausting. You are not alone. I am a certified pediatric sleep consultant and it is very common for newborns to want constant contact at this age. At three days old your baby is still adjusting to life outside the womb, so holding her, contact naps, and soothing her close to you are completely normal. For now, focus on comfort and survival, but you can also begin shaping a healthy sleep environment: 🌙 Keep the room dark and calm at night ☀️ Expose your baby to natural light during the day to help their circadian rhythm develop 🤱 Try swaddling if she tolerates it 🎵 Use consistent soothing cues like a lullaby or gentle rocking 🔊 White noise can make her feel secure Independent sleep will come with time, but laying these foundations now will make the transition smoother later. If you ever want more guidance I am always happy to jump on a call and answer questions 💖 Hang in there!!
