I'm not pro at many things, but I'm a pro at failing and getting back up. 15 apps - some almost made it (e.g. @perl), some completely flopped. I did learn a lot from every single fail though. https://alexkwon.notion.site/15-Apps-since-2022-239a6a0b2a4580a7a1dcd20ef04d522b

seeing a lightning is hard enough unless you stare at the rainy night sky forever. imagine how impossible it’d be to catch that lightning in a bottle. explains why consumer social is hard and why we rarely ever see one explode big enough and stick around long enough. but one piece exists. iykyk

storytelling is something to build in parallel as soon as the product building starts, or even before it starts. why? stories sell products. stories told by product, the creator, the users. it has to be simple and in alignment with something already rising as a cultural trend in this world. this is a note I am writing to myself as I start project nada today.

i’m still bullish on farcaster. honestly thought the golden era was when many makers were visibly shipping apps and we could feel that on the timeline - like homebrew computer club. simplifying what it takes to just shoot an app here with a prompt and @ - zero set up, could still be interesting. just a few thoughts as i fully wire back into the game. curious what the short term plans are from @rish and team. makes sense to vertically own the entire farcaster stack with the refreshed sense of builder first vision

I'm so glad that farcaster ended up in the hands of @rish instead of some random buyer. at this point I recognize the man as the spiritual successor to the purple fire.

gm i have not traded much since last august. this week i aped on two ai/product coins again. just does not feel good whether i win or lose. when i win i wonder i could have won bigger. when i lose i wonder why tf did i do this. i still may trade here and there to stay in touch with the trends and learn, but i just really don’t like how it makes me feel
