I will never forget going to my first film festival. The thrill of attending a movie premiere was not the only reason I accepted my friend Emma's invitation. As we mixed with celebrities and filmmakers, the place was a hive of activity. Films as art were emphasized by the passion of a young director. The film's debut and enlightening Q&A made an impression.
