The fabric definitely frayed, but Twitter tried to hold onto sense making into the 2020s

I remember Twitter during the 2016 election quite well

people were already living in parallel universes then

by the 2020s it got even worse

maybe some pockets were less polarized but by 2020s I don't think there's was much to hold together
