We learned little about him in the history of Lebanon. During World War I, Atatürk served in the Ottoman military, which ruled over Lebanon at the time.
In 1918, he briefly led the Yıldırım Army Group in Syria and Palestine, territories that encompassed areas of present-day Lebanon. However, his main concern was countering the British and Arab forces rather than directly engaging in Lebanese affairs.
