"The Israeli propaganda on seizing Beaufort Castle after 30 years"
For those who don't know, Beaufort Castle was built during the 12th century by Crusaders and was held by Israel before the Lebanese resistance liberated it in 2000.
Thirty years ago, warfare was different, and Israel was capable of targeting wide parts of Lebanon including Sidon just by placing artillery over the castle due to its strategic placement and elevation.
Long story short, strategically speaking, to seize a place means you should have full control over it. In today's warfare, drones are the cheapest and most strategic weapon to prevent that and make any fixed target an easy target. So, yes, Israel has reached the Beaufort Castle "on foot" through a rough, rocky path, which is quite hard to move heavy vehicles through. Even if they did so, the real question will be how long troops will be able to stay unless a new form of ceasefire is formed?
