Good or bad, we live in a social first era which typically means that if you build it, they will not come unless you're out talking about.
For FC, you can post into other channels and running contests with other groups, etc.
Additionally, it's replying beyond the single focus vs casting.
Intention to interact vs billboarding is required in order to get others interested in also casting for you or with you in your channel/your interests.
While I'm in no way an expert in executing these things, I do know they work.
If someone is only casting for engagement it does come across more disingenuous than communal regardless of power badge or not.
