Probably going to write a longer cast about the farcaster pivot and how it should be and have been communicated. But I wanted to share why I’m not bearish.
The pivot seems to be one of the few approaches that will help grow the network, because making commerce convenient is a prerequisite for an everything app. And farcaster should be an everything app, a digital economy.
In the short term, I think it will look and feel quite alienating to normies due to the degen coin slop, but it will get more traders in the door and thus more DAUs.
If that growth strategy succeeds, Farcaster should aim to court more mainstream business partnerships to build miniapps / agents to offer everyday services right in the app.
