This feels like a very honest reflection from @dwr and the @farcaster team. After years of trying a social-first approach and not finding sustainable PMF, the traction showing up in the wallet makes a lot of sense. People usually show up because a tool is genuinely useful, not just because of ideology. “Come for the tool, stay for the network” feels like the right framing. Once people are actively using the wallet, the social layer has real context and utility instead of being forced. What really matters here is that the protocol stays open and neutral. The Farcaster app can lean into wallet + social, while other clients explore different directions. That balance makes Farcaster feel more mature as a protocol.
