Drunk Edward Slingerland gives a compelling and entertaining exposition on why humanity's favorite intoxicant is Lindy af, only occasionally lapsing into outright apologetics. I like drinking. I have generally positive attitudes about alcohol. It's not like he had a lot of work to do in the effort to convince me that alcohol is kind of Good, Actually™. If you're a puritan, or sober, or a longevity enjoyooor, you might not like the push he's giving you. But anyone with sufficient intellectual curiosity and particularly people without addictive propensities might find in these pages a deeper understanding of those who more zealously imbibe. Many of us have experienced the stuff he talks about in one way or another. A company that's never had an offsite, a company that had a sedate offsite, and a company that had an absolute rager will all have different complexions. You know exactly what I mean, even if you don't like it. Recommended for anyone who's not a recovering alcoholic.
