Spoon-billed Sandpiper (Calidris pygmaea)
Status: Critically Endangered
Description: A small migratory shorebird native to Bering Sea coasts and Southeast Asia wintering sites. It is unique for its spatulate bill. Breeding population down to ~350–500 in 2000; possibly under 100 breeding pairs now.
