I can’t watch without irony how X cracked down on InfoFi, to the joyful cheering of the crowd. But what problem did they actually solve? I’m not sure, but probably not the one they claimed.
To me, every social network is basically InfoFi at its core, though it’s not obvious yet since they’re still stuck with the old Web2 tools. The best move isn’t to ban InfoFi, but to develop it as much as possible, unlocking more advanced forms and mechanics.
