While the markets are full of fear and pain, I want to say that for an NFTs collector, this is surprisingly good timing. For example, yesterday I assembled a few fully canonical mechs from Genesis Mechs, a connected collection in the CyberBrokers universe. The project’s creator is Josie Bellini, one of the pioneers of crypto art. The project is very thoroughly made. The mechs come with 3D files, and there’s a functional website where you can assemble and disassemble the mechs, change color schemes, adjust individual elements, and just get completely absorbed in the process: https://snap.cyberbrokers.com/ At one point, this was quite an expensive hobby, but now, after some leisurely digging on the secondary parts market, I managed to put together both mechs for barely $10 in total. For those who enjoy these kinds of formats, collecting, assembling, and working with digital objects with real depth, this might be fascinating. Essentially, these are tokenized 3D equivalents of collectible mechs, comparable to physical models like Gunpla and Zoids. The culture of digital collecting is only just emerging, but over time, these mechs could become real gems in digital collections. Or at least I had fun playing around with it.
