I’ve also been to the summit of Aconcagua, which is 1500m higher. My profile picture was taken there. Have a look at the background: it’s grey because I’m in a cloud. I’ve stood in the beginnings of a snowstorm at 6,956m and seen iridescent ice needles glinting in the morning sun. This is sunset at 5,500m on Aconcagua - notice how high up the clouds go.
