The Core Philosophy: Decentralization
The fundamental goal of crypto is to remove the "middleman." In traditional finance, you must trust a bank or government to validate your money. In crypto, that trust is shifted to a decentralized network of computers.
Why it matters: It provides censorship resistance. No single entity can freeze your account or prevent you from sending money.
