STAGE 1:
$SNAPs are the protocol rewards for Hypersnap node runners, mini app and client developers, and users on the network that help the network grow. The first tranche of the retroactive rewards has been released; the remainder will release every five days (an epoch), until the end of the retro period.
STAGE 2:
While the retro rewards are being released, the Hypersnap protocol will undergo a major upgrade that adds superpowers to the Farcaster network: snap compute and miniapp state, token privacy, miniapp indexing and discovery, new APIs for builders, and spam prevention.

On-protocol governance
