Yoooooo Hi @zama believers 💛
I'm here to break down part 14 of Zama
Private Governance 🟨
Most DAOs ask you to vote in public, which invites pressure and signaling.
With FHE on fhEVM, you get the opposite: votes stay encrypted, while the final tally is verifiable and auditable on-chain.
how it works 🟡
• You encrypt your ballot client-side.
• A lightweight proof shows it’s valid (right range, one-person-one-vote, membership) without revealing the choice.
• Coprocessors aggregate encrypted ballots; the chain orchestrates + verifies the math, not your plaintext.
• Policy decides visibility: only the tally opens; individual ballots never do.
integrity & safety 🟡
• public verifiability: anyone can re-execute the encrypted tally and match the ciphertext result.
• anti-bribery/coercion: you can’t prove how you voted.
• audits when needed: threshold keys (via KMS nodes) can unlock minimal disclosures for disputes, never the whole dataset.
why it matters🟡
governance gets honest signals without doxxing choices. In my opinion, this is how on-chain votes earn real legitimacy.
