Competitive intelligence in product marketing . Most teams are building great products but missing one thing, Awareness of what’s happening around them. Competitive intelligence isn’t about spying or copying. It’s about understanding your environment. When you pay attention, patterns start to show. You’ll notice the kind of posts that get people talking, the language that connects, what you should prioritize and the formats that gives you the best reach. You’ll also notice what’s missing and gaps in conversations you can fill. Start small. Ask simple questions: > What are they doing consistently? > What makes people respond? > What conversations are they avoiding? > What gaps are they not filling yet? > What makes them win or lose? > Who are they building for? You start to see what makes your brand different, what voice fits you best, and how to position your message so it stands out. Competitive intelligence helps you move with intention.
As a project, you can't play the long game with just incentives and rewards, your "users" will leave the moment it stops. For your product to survive, it must solve a problem and be useful to people. That is the real reward.
