Did you know?.... There are two terms in Web3 that are often considered the same but actually have different meanings. "DECENTRALIZED vs PERMISSIONLESS • Decentralized In terms of meaning, control or power is not held by a single entity. “The network is decentralized, no single party controls it.” It may be technically decentralized, but access is still restricted. • Permissionless In essence, anyone can join and participate without needing permission. “Anyone can use the protocol without asking permission.” It's not just about structure, but also about the freedom of each individual. Fun fact: not everything that is decentralized is permissionless, and not everything that claims to be “Web3” provides freedom. “You can’t tell me nothing” 0xLamboe 😉
