Good night, friends. š
Once, we were all like this.
With a small life held safely in our arms,
and a heart full of mercy pure enough to save the world.
We walked through lifeās narrow streets without fear,
because we didnāt yet know pain,
we hadnāt learned cruelty.
Then we grew up.
We added ābe carefulā to our hearts,
built walls around our love.
We learned to be strong, to stand firmā
but along the way, we neglected compassion.
Maybe we didnāt lose our innocenceā¦
we just covered it with thick layers.
Yet that child still lives inside us.
The one who isnāt afraid to love,
who heals by simply holding on,
who makes the world a softer place.
Maybe the issue isnāt growing upā
but remembering not to shrink our hearts as we grow.
Slow down a little today.
Be a little more understanding.
And hold the hand of the child within you, once again. š±
