Agreed in theory, though the US doesn’t even have a proper national ID system today (closest might be SSN). Educating the populace, getting regulatory acceptance, preventing fraud and leaked keys would all be an execution nightmare, especially for a gov like ours

Restaking has been an extremely hot topic in Ethereum, and EigenLayer's TVL growth to become the second largest protocol in all of DeFi has outpaced that of Lido – even with restaking limits imposed during much of that process and prior to AVS launches or revenue generation.
