More than 60% of EigenLayer's TVL is locked up in LRTs. The distribution of LRTs is much more diverse than that of LSTs (which is dominated by Lido's stETH/wstETH). Will be interesting to see how this impacts their usage across DeFi and any other ramifications that could bring.

Agreed in theory, though the US doesn’t even have a proper national ID system today (closest might be SSN). Educating the populace, getting regulatory acceptance, preventing fraud and leaked keys would all be an execution nightmare, especially for a gov like ours
