🆃 🅿 🆂 This is the TPS (Transactions Per Second) of the fastest blockchains. It is a parameter that measures the performance of the chains and indicates the number of transactions that a network can process in a second. Newbies evaluate a chain only based on speed and cost-effectiveness, in reality very often "high TPS" means "less security".
✅Advantages of a high TPS:
-Speed: Reduces waiting times, ideal for applications such as micropayments and gaming.
-Scalability: Allows to support an increasing number of users and transactions.
-Low gas fees.
❌Disadvantages of a high TPS:
-Less decentralization: High TPS networks sacrifice decentralization (few validators).
-Infrastructure costs: Higher TPS requires more advanced hardware and resources.
-Security risks: An increase in TPS could compromise security, as in the case of faster and less thorough validations. Or "spam attacks" facilitated by high cost-effectiveness.
