But it sounds very legit to me when you think about it. For them everything really is cringe. For that reason they don't do as much stupid stuff as we used and they play it safe (even subcultures are very confined and structured). They can be themselves online though and that's where the creativity and character shows up - everyone can be anon or uWuGiRlIe2000

Alcohol is generally expensive than marijuana. I am 40+ as I heard new generation prefers drugs than alcohol. This is too risky.

I’m unsure if usage has increased overall but people are definitely navigating a riskier, deadlier landscape.

Every generation thinks they’ve cracked a new code but it all boils down to uppers and downers. Booze slows you down. Screens hype you up. Meme-token trading hypes you up then slows you down (if you lose). Same ride, different ride names.

Where i'm from Gen Z drink wayyyy less than we used to, BUT they do way more and totally different drugs than our generation. But they don't do it as often as we used to drink. Gen Z love their screens and their beds lol

My assumption is that gen z is spending more on sports betting as a substitution for alcohol and that boomers spend far less than gen z (sort of opposite)

I could be wrong! But that’s what my gut says
