The Great Metaphysician : itis a painting created by Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico in 1917. The artwork is an excellent example of the Metaphysical Art movement it features a mannequin standing in an empty space with a train passing in the background. The contrast between the stillness of the mannequin and the movement of the train creates a sense of tension and mystery The use of classical architecture in the background adds to the dreamlike quality of the painting.
