I'm a "french revolution" purist. I view the politcal spectrum as intended by the ushers of 89s national assembly, whereas right = uphold the known and practiced, left = change into the unknown, hopefully progress for all.
Cypher-Punk crypto is purist left in my mind.
Hyper-financialized crypto of today is right, as it's carbon-copying with heroic enthusiasm a system (including each building block and feedback loop) that existed before and that brought itself to an inflection point spawning a systemic alternative.
There's a reason why the right has an easier time picking up crypto now as it turned into a "commodity with huge potential upside" that is compatible with and milked by an existing setup of wealth concentration.
Celebrating ETH and BTC etfs that benefit capitalist gargantuans only is a good example. Ironic, cynical or simpleton-reductionist AF, you decide.
