Thinking of Skipping the @aztecnetwork Sale, And Why the Hesitation?
There are a bunch of points causing huge doubts right now:
• Large Sale Allocation: 15\% of the total supply is being offered for sale.
• Initial Long Vesting: The initial lock-up is 12 months (or 90 days after a successful governance vote).
• Uncertain FDV: No fixed Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV); the starting point is 350 Million Dollars.
• KYC Undermining Privacy: The sale requires ZKPassport verification (a real drawback for a privacy project).
• No Community Allocation: No airdrop for the community, not even for node runners.
The main concern right now revolves around that initial 12-month lock-up period.
Speculation suggests the team and investors won't have governance access during that window, making it highly likely the lock-up will be quickly reduced to 3 months via a vote.
What's your take on this? Are you planning to deposit? What's your take on the risks and potential rewards?
