Eltz Castle (Burg Eltz) is a medieval castle in Wierschem, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, nestled in a forested valley near the Moselle River between Koblenz and Trier.
Built from the 12th century (first mentioned 1157), it survived wars unscathed and features fairy-tale architecture with towers, oriels, and half-timbering.
It has been owned by the Eltz family for over 850 years, now in the 33rd–34th generation.
