Everyone loves to post their +100%, +500%, +100500% PNLs, but never the negative ones.

Understandable, of course - but let me remind you that only a very small percentage actually make money on futures. Here's a great chart from the @avantisfinance dashboard showing traders' daily PNL over the last 1000 days (green line).

Gm! Toggle net pnl to gross Pnl and see the difference!

Wow.. Does this mean that traders are actually trading at a profit on @avantisfinance, but due to platform fees, slippage, funding rates, etc., they’re still losing money? Did I understand this correctly? 🤔

So it’s a mix! If traders choose zero-fee perps , they only pay from gross profits  (and hence are winning). 

On fixed-fee perps yes it means they net-net lost money
