I don't get the concern over AIs creating BioWeapons. This isn't code or software or something a hobbyist can pick up on the weekend. I have a Masters in Biochemistry and spent 3+ years in a biochem research lab manipulating e coli to make mutations in a single domain of a single human gene. The lab required a million dollars of equipment (and this was 2004 dollars!): centrifuges, incubators, precision pipettemen, deep freezers etc. Plus an entire University of support infrastructure. Even with all of that it was difficult and tedious, i made about 10 mutated preoteins in that time. To make a bioweapon, you not only need that equipment but also biohazard containment so you don't kill yourself before you make the Super Bug. So imo, the only people who could make an AI Super Bug are the people that can already make an Antique Super Bug. AI doesn't let you just go to Best Buy and grab a centrifuge, autoclave and start mass producing plagues... Am I missing something?

Gemini is scary. It's a great LLM for a normie like me, but it has surfaced history about me in very uncomfortable ways. I'm using it as a personal trainer and today it recommended I run with "my" running group by name. I haven't been part of that group for 2 years. It's not the first time Gemini has surfaced deeply personal information about me, but it's the most alarming. I don't know how it knows this unless it has access to my emails or sites I've logged into using my Google account. All the more reason for me to stay with Venice .Ai $VVV

Hermes agent is way better than OpenClaw, but even with the switch I kept having tons ans tons of issues. I was using a cheap model to save cost on inference and decided to switch to a mid-tier model. It has made SUCH a big difference. Things just work now I'm using Venice, so if you have Claude or ChatGPT connected, this post isn't for you
